Some sudoku enthusiasts do not believe computer generated puzzles can be as good as a handcrafted ones. We decided to take on this challenge with the aim of designing a puzzleboard generator that emulates the process of handcrafting new puzzles, while providing the player with the most enjoyable and least fatiguing playing experience possible.
Sudoku Factory has a unique puzzle generation algorithm that creates a near unlimited amount of original puzzles with varying levels of difficulty. The scalable design of the engine allows boards of 3x2, 4x2, 4x3 and 4x4 dimensions in addition to the traditional 3x3 puzzle. Gameboards can be generated with four different symmetries; rotational, horizontal, vertical and diagonal.
Most sudoku games, whether on-paper or otherwise, pay no attention to the playing environment. Why should you be stuck in the corporate, 2D, black-on-white windows world when immersed in the sudoku experience?
